Facilitated by Doris Germain, an Autism Specialist, on alternating months, in response to interest by participants in KindTree’s Support Group for adults on the autism spectrum. The classes and outings are designed for adults with high-functioning autism or Aspergers who can get around independently in the community. The Autism Society of Oregon will help subsidize entrance fees. The Social Skills Class will take place on the 3rd Monday of alternating months, starting February 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on 13th and Pearl.
School of Autism is a sensory immersion school for children with autism, pdd-nos, global developmental delay and sensory integration issues. It opened Summer 2006 and started it's preschool program September 2006.

She has worked in out patient and acute hospital settings for the last 6 years, an area of focus has been social skill development and behavior modification. Her approach is a blend of: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art/Story Therapy, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Dialectics. This approach has evolved to include a wide range of skills so that she is best able to meet each individuals needs.

Social Skills groups lead by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
The Social Communication Clinic will open June 26, 2007. Speech and language pathologist Julie Balderston, psychologist Leslie Jeffery and speech and language pathologist's assistant Sue Kish offer social skills training for children with high-functioning autism, Asperger's syndrome and pervasive developmental disorder.
